Day 5 (Tue, Jan 22):
This morning we did not get up to the sound of roosters, but to
the sound of empty cotton trucks rumbling down the potholed
dirt road next to the courtyard. It was 5:00am. We
immediately set to breaking camp and packing the vehicles.
We had decided to get on our way as early as possible then
eat our breakfast while we were stopped at the border. We
were on our way at 7:15am. The trip home went safely...for us
that is. One sheep lost it's life when it ran out onto the
highway and tried to butt the bus off the road. A pig just about
met with the same fate, but escaped with only a few missing
hairs from his tail. (Not his chinny chin chin)

Seriously, we do give our thanks to God and we thank you who
prayed for our travels. We do not take our safety for granted
when we travel the roads here. We were safely back to
campus at 5:15 pm, tired and glad to be home.
This was a great experience! Possibly a once in a lifetime
opportunity. We are thankful to our Lord for His leading us.
We are thankful to the school for making many adjustments to
allow us to do this. And we are thankful to the many who
spent much time preparing and praying for this trip.
To God be the Glory!
