Email Message from Sikasso:
Good Morning,
We have just finished worshipping in four of the local churches here in
the city of Sikasso. We have been warmly welcomed and have enjoyed sweet
fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. It has already been a
rewarding time for us. Yesterday the drama team went to three different
locations in the outskirts of the town. These are new part of town where
many families have just moved to Sikasso. There are no churches yet
meeting in those areas. There were many hundred that viewed the
presentations yesterday afternoon. The sound crew started setting up in
the afternoon while the opening game of the Cup was being played. That
way we were ready to start the outdoor program once people were done
watching the game on TV. The location that has been arranged is amazing!
It is in a large open courtyard directly across from the stadium. Anyone
coming to the stadium cannot help but see the activity and hear the music.
Last night, there were a few hundred who stopped by. We think that
tonight there will be even more who come by as there is a game being
played in the stadium. We will start our program shortly after the game.
This afternoon the drama group and EE team will continue going to
different parts of the city sharing their presentations and the Good News.
The whole group will be going to a game this evening. Rep. Democratic du
Congo is playing Cameroun. After the game we will move right into the
program.
