| Comments: I am beginning the retirement process from my current job and starting my own bookkeeping business out of my home---hope to be completely retired by middile of January 2000--I have four clients now but need to build up to at least 10 by middle of January 2000.  I am excited about working out of my home and not traveling about two hours a day to and from work.  I will hopefully have more time to spent with my 6 grandchildren and do other fun and interesting things outside my business. I am living in the same house as Debbie but have my own living quarters in the daylight basement.  Tim and Stephen live in the same town within about 2 miles from me.

He's enjoying his brand new apartment. Matt, who was atttending college in Oregon, has now moved down to California and will be living with us while he finishes school there. Pray for the job opportunity of God's choosing for Jim. He graduated this May (01) with his Master's Degree in Biblical Counseling. His desire is to counsel - to be a family pastor. | Comments: It's been a lot of work getting used to being a pastor's wife!  I miss ICA, and my first-grade classroom.  I'm doing some substitute teaching in the public schools, which is sometimes an adventure in itself.  The Lord has been good to us, and I'm thankful that He's still giving me opportunities to grow (well, USUALLY I'm thankful!)  I'm grateful to the ones who have included me in their graduations by sending me their grad announcements.  Hope to visit ICA again someday, but in the meantime, I'm glad to know about this website.

We offer housing to 9 college-age MKs each year free of charge. We're just finishing our second year, with 2 former ICAers living with us (Phil Luukkonen & Jenny Charter) and 3 joining us in the fall (Tyler Simon, Jeremy (Lazer) Thompson and Elaine Luukkonen). Gatehouse closes in the summer so we can participate in reentry seminars - the Camp Iana (CO) Interaction seminar with Dave Pollock and Matt Neigh in late July and the Barnabas International/ Narramore Foundation seminar held at Biola in Los Angeles in mid-July. God has been gracious to us as I had to have surgery in Nov. and due to complications just about died. Through the prayers of the saints and God's goodness I am doing really well. Nate is playing saxophone and doing drama for the church. Sarah is the social glue that keeps the neighborhood kids in our yard, in our fridge, and in our car to church. Jason just celebrated 4 years of bring joy to us all.
